ANZAC Cove — Gallipoli
────────────────────────
Worked on the ANZAC Cove map for Gallipoli, recreating the historic landing site of the 1915 ANZAC assault on the Gallipoli Peninsula.
────────────────────────
My work focused on terrain shaping, layout iteration, flow, and gameplay balance, translating the real-world geography into a playable battlefield while preserving historical accuracy. The map emphasizes steep ridgelines, narrow beaches, and constrained approach routes to reflect the tactical disadvantages faced by the landing forces.
────────────────────────
Key contributions include:
Terrain sculpting to support authentic elevation, sightlines, and choke points
Iteration on layout for infantry flow, cover placement, and combat readability
Balancing historical references with gameplay clarity and performance constraints
Set dressing and placement of trenches, emplacements, and battlefield structures to support navigation, cover, and period authenticity
────────────────────────
The dramatic elevation changes and tight terrain corridors allowed the level to lean heavily on spatial decision-making, making positioning and route choice as important as raw gunplay.
